MCHD Plans More Flu Clinics


The Montgomery County Health Department will continue its series of flu shot clinics in this county.

All viruses in the vaccine are killed so you cannot get influenza from the vaccine.

The following is a list of the date and times of each clinic which will be held at the Health Department in Hillsboro, which is located at 11191 IL Rt 185: Oct. 14, from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.; Oct. 21, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.; Oct. 22, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.; and Oct. 30, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

These clinics are for persons aged 19 and over. The cost of the vaccine is $30. Persons with Medicare B may receive the vaccine free (must bring Medicare card). Persons with Medicaid must bring card.

State Employees/Retirees must show proof of State Health Insurance to receive vaccine free. Questions should be referred to your family doctor.
