Health Dept. Offers H1N1 Vaccines At Clinics

The Montgomery County Health Department will hold several immunization and blood pressure clinics in December. In addition to the regular immunizations, H1N1 vaccinations will be offered as long as supplies are available.

Adults in the CDC recommended priority groups may receive H1N1 vaccinations at this time.

The Health Department will hold a clinic on Wednesday, Dec. 2, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Health Department office on Rt. 185.

On Dec. 3, the clinic will be at the Litchfield satellite office, 317 West Union Street, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The Dec. 10 clinic is from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Nokomis Knights of Columbus Hall.

Parents must bring a copy of their child's previous immunization records. Illinois Department of Public Aid recipients must bring medical cards with them. In order to comply with State regulations, a $10 per vaccination fee is required.

Anyone desiring a blood pressure check may come to any of the locations on dates and times indicated. Donations will be accepted for this service.

Only people 18 and older may sign for immunizations. Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. If a child is accompanied by an adult, a signed permission slip from the parent or guardian is needed.

The only exception is when the parent is under 18. In that instance, they may sign for their children.
