Allen Craig Toberman, 60, of Belleville, died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 27, at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, with a ROJ Walk-Through at 7:13 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 28, at Kurrus Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Ro Fesser, Diaconal Minister officiating. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights.

Mr. Toberman was born on Sunday, Feb. 11, 1951, in East St. Louis, a son of the late Macon E. and Virginia D. (Craig) Toberman.

He owned Lebanon Grain Elevator and Toberman Brokerage Company, and was a member and board member of Signal Hill United Methodist Church in Belleville. He was also a member of Scottish Rite Bodies, Ainad Shrine, Southern Illinois Court 86 ROJ, past board member of St. Louis Milling and Grain Association, 12th Congressional District Agricultural Advisory Committee, Master Guide of the Kaskaskia Hunting Preserve, Dead Eye Dove Hunters Club and also Member Emeritis of the Missouri Athletic Club, where he enjoyed participating in league basketball.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Flannery) Toberman; one son, Craig A. Toberman of Belleville; one sister, Diane Toberman Murphey of Belleville; two aunts, Velma Rose Fesser and family of Fillmore and Valeria Reiss and family of Decatur; two nephews, Patrick Murphey and Ryan Murphey; two nieces, Rachel Flannery and Sheridan Wright; two sisters-in-law, Erin Ringsmuth and Christy Wright; and numerous cousins and friends.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Marien Toberman.

Memorials may be given to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, Heartlinks Grief Center at Family Hospice, Shriners Hospital for Children or the donor's choice.
