Arthur Wayne Ford, 53, of Hillsboro died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6, at Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro with the Rev. Jeff Hemken, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Ford was born on April 22, 1963, in Texas, a son of Mayme Ford and the late Arthur Ford. He was a graduate of Civic Memorial High School in Bethalto.

He was married to Carla (Cook) Ford in 2010, and she survives.

A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he worked as an outsource analyst for Cope Plastics in Alton.

He attended Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro and was a past member of the Lions Club of Hillsboro.

Along with his wife and mother, Mr. Ford is survived by two children Nicholas Ford and Emily Ford, both of Bethalto; one stepdaughter, Cassandra (husband Ryan) Malloy of Hillsboro; three grandchildren, Curtis Segrest, Rheece and Garrett Malloy; two brothers, Steven and Jeff Ford; a  sister Christine Ford; and his beloved dog, Dozer.
