Barbara Diane (Mehlberg) Licata, 57, of Prentiss, MS, formerly of Litchfield, died at 5:57 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield.

Ms. Licata was born in Litchfield on Dec. 11, 1956, the daughter of the late Harold John "Boogie" and Helen Ruth (Saulters) Mehlberg. She married Mitchell Angelo Licata in 1986, and they later divorced.

She was employed as director of housekeeping while working at Hillsboro Health Care Center. She also worked in the medical environmental services field while living in Illinois, Missouri and Idaho.

Ms. Licata was a member of Southside Church in Litchfield. In her leisure time she enjoyed cooking and baking and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Jeremy (Kelly) Davis of Alton; companion, Bobby Wilson of Prentiss, MS; brother, Donald Mehlberg of Pana; three sisters, Brenda (Bill) Wooten of Valparaiso, IN, Linda Davidson of Litchfield and Sandra Barker of Oklahoma City, OK; and three grandchildren, Laney, Lexie and Andrew Davis.

Besides her parents, Ms. Licata was preceded in death by an infant son, Lonnie Angelo Licata; and one brother, James Kenneth Sellers.
