Betty J. White, 79, of Hillsboro died Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at her residence.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
A homemaker, Mrs. White was born in Hillsboro on Nov. 17, 1936. She married Merle White on April 11, 1953, and he preceded her in death on July 23, 2013.
She is survived by a son, Steve (wife Laura) White of Hillsboro; two daughters, Kim (husband Dean) Davidson of Hillsboro and Cheri (husband Mike) Huber of Coffeen; seven grandchildren, Lannie (Brian) Beecher, Cory (Amanda) Davidson, Steve (Julie) White, Tim Davidson, Tony White, Shane (Brittany) Huber and Bryan Huber; 14 great-grandchildren, Jakob, Collin, Hunter and Kennon Beecher, Sydney White, Trystan White, Elexis Davidson, Abbi Davidson, Jacob Daugherty, Brayden Ronco, Ben Ronco, Kennady Davidson, Parker Davidson and Cayden Huber; and two sisters, Sandy Bertinotti and Barbara Springer.
Besides her husband, Mrs. White was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Lawrence and Marcella (Seaton) Sears; granddaughter, Cheryl Davidson; and great-granddaughter, Taylor Shanks.
