Betty Lou Adden, 84, of Nokomis died at 8:55 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at Pana Community Hospital.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 10, at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 11, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nokomis with Pastor Bert Eickhoff officiating.

Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Nokomis.

Mrs. Adden was born in Taylor Springs on Aug. 28, 1930, the daughter of the late Melvin and Mabel Irene (Currie) Moreland. She married Vern E. Adden on March 25, 1956, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and he preceded her in death on April 28, 1978.

She earned her GED and attended college. She was a switchboard operator, cashier and an election judge. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Nokomis, Ladies Aid, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, PTA and the Pana Red Roses Red Hat Society.

Mrs. Adden is survived by two children, Alan (Dena) Adden of Pana and Teresa Frazier of Nokomis; three grandchildren, Jessie,  Richard and Rebecca Frazier; and brothers, Bill (Nancy) Moreland of Copperas Cove, TX, and Jerry (Donna) Moreland of Taylorville.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Ron Frazier; and siblings, Lovell Cordani, Mabel Pope and Bud, Jim, Carl and Jack Moreland.
