Carrie Jean McCulley, 70, of Litchfield died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014, at 5:42 a.m. at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Care in Litchfield. 

Visitation will be held Saturday, Oct. 4, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield.  A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Jim Tinzmann, pastor of St. Timothy United Methodist Church in Litchfield, officiating.  

Ms. McCulley was born on Feb. 24, 1944, in Decatur, the daughter of the late Ernest R. and Wilma A. (Keele) Grandfield. She married James Robert McCulley, Sr., and they later divorced.

She was a homemaker. In her leisure time, she enjoyed playing Bingo. 

Ms. McCulley is survived by one son, James McCulley, Jr. of Pacific, MO; one daughter, Linda (Matthew) Zufall of Pacific, MO; three brothers, Richard Grandfield of Pennsylvania, Arthur Grandfield of Springfield and Raymond “Jackie” Grandfield of Macon; three sisters, Helen Wilson of Jacksonville, Candace Leonard of Taylorville and Anna Alleen (Ron) Barringer of Macon; two grandchildren, Alicia Zufall and Brian Zufall; and one great-granddaughter, Cynthia Evers.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Grandfield; and one sister, Carol Swank.
