Cecil E. Warren, 78, of Vandalia died Monday, April 13, 2015, in Pana.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 20, at Vera Baptist Church in Vera with the Rev. Dave Hall officiating.

Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Warren was born on Oct. 22, 1936, in Vandalia, the son of the late John Labon and Elpha Jane (Summers) Warren.

He was a retired welder/electrician for Van Tran Electric in Vandalia, an Army veteran during the Korean Conflict and a member of Crawford Hale Post #95 American Legion and the Sheriffs' Association.

Mr. Warren is survived by his sons, Carl Warren of Altamont and John (Belinda) Warren of Vandalia; daughters, Jane Warren of Altamont, Beth (Tom) Mills of Tower Hill, Annette Cole of Ramsey, Joanna Davis of Vandalia, Shara (Chris) Smith of Fairfield and Eve Warren of Vandalia; stepchildren, Ralph Spring of Altamont and Judy Woodard of Dixon, KY; sisters and brothers, Betty Woods of North Carolina, Frances Hill of Mendota, Stanley Toberman of Fillmore, Doug Johnson of Mt. Vernon, Frank and Jim Hornbeck, both of Vandalia, Ruth Ann Bain of Mt. Vernon and Kenneth Stokes of New Orleans, LA; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters; and stepdaughter, Chris Briggs.
