Darrell A. Burris, 88, of Pana, died Saturday, April 23, 2016, in Heritage Health-Pana.

Masonic services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, in Pana Christian Church by Pana Lodge #226 followed by funeral services with Pastor Dave Altman officiating. Burial will be in Tower Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services in Pana Christian Church.

McCracken-Dean Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Burris was born Dec. 28, 1927, in Beecher City, a son of Timothy and Irene Gertrude (Doty) Burris. He was a graduate of Tower Hill High School and lived his entire life in Pana, Tower Hill and Decatur.

He married Florence E. Cutright on July 18, 1948, in Shelbyville, and she survives.

Mr. Burris was retired from B&O Railroad where he was a freight agent. He collected HO gauge trains and liked to golf.

He was a member of Pana Christian Church, Pana Masonic Lodge #226 AF&AM, Arcana Chapter Order of Eastern Star and Pana Country Club.

Along with his wife, Mr. Burris is survived by a son, Timothy A. (Alice)Burris of Pana; three grandchildren, Justin Burris of Houston, TX, Jenni (Andy) Spracklen of Shelbyville and Kyle (Sarah) Burris of Tower Hill; four greatgrandchildren, Lincoln, Carder, and Knox Burris and Joanna Spracklen; and a stepsister, Gertrude Wreath of Litchfield.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Leroy Burris and Maynard Burris, and three sisters, Waneta Dilley, Dorlene Williams and Opal Hostetler.
