Debbie A. Hampton, 63, of Springfield died at 11:15 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2016, at her residence after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center in Springfield. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
Ms. Hampton was born on Dec. 2, 1952, in Litchfield, the daughter of Ralph and Hilda (Crites) Faris.
She was a graduate of Litchfield High School. She was employed by Sikich Financial as an account manager and previously by the State Journal-Register.
Ms. Hampton was best known for being brave, spunky, caring and giving. She enjoyed going dancing, spending time with the Margarita Girls and most importantly, spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy L. Hampton (Denny King) of Springfield; her mother, Hilda Faris of Litchfield; two grandchildren, Krystin Nikkole Law of Litchfield and Shayne Marie Law of Raymond; two siblings, Linda Stoecker of Litchfield and Bruce (Diana) Faris of Oklahoma; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father.
