Dorothy Mae Osmoe, 82, of White City died at 2:33 a.m. Sunday, May 5, 2013, in the emergency room at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, at Becker and Son Funeral Home in Mt. Olive. Family rosary will be recited at the funeral home led by Father Anschutz. Funeral Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 9, at Blessed John Paul II in Mt. Olive with Father Larry Anschutz officiating.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Mt. Olive. 

Mrs. Osmoe was born in Kansas City, KS, on March 28, 1931, the daughter of the late Sylvester Arthur and Hazel (Matthews) Paxton. She married Jerome Arthur "Ozzie" Osmoe in Leavenworth, KS, on June 4, 1954, and he preceded her in death.

She attended Central Jr. High School in Kansas City, KS. A  housewife and full-time mother, she was a member of Blessed John Paul II in Mt. Olive where she was active with the Altar and  Rosary Society

Mrs. Osmoe is survived by four sons, Ken (wife Peggy) Osmoe of Mt. Olive, Bob (wife Karen) Osmoe, Jerry (wife Sherry) Osmoe and Don (wife Karen) Osmoe, Sr., all of White City; six daughters,  Linda (husband Chuck) Cruthis of Sorento, Carol (husband Bruce) Sniff and Janet Osmoe (companion Dave Leitschuh), both of Mt. Olive, Teresa Nichols of Sand Springs, OK, Nadine (husband Jerry) Avery of Laporte, TX, and Tammie (husband Delbert) Stumpf of Bachtown; brother, Gene Coffman of Kansas City, KS; sister, Phyllis Curtis of Jamestown, MO; 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Sarah and Amy Osmoe; two sisters, Nadine Harris and Betty Saucecedo; and three brothers, Don Paxton, Gary Coffman and Bill Coffman.

Memorials may be made to the Mt. Olive Library or Calvary Cemetery in Mt. Olive.
