Dylan Addison Sanders, 25, of Litchfield died Thursday, June 29, 2017, at 7:22 a.m. at his home.  

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 6, at 11 a.m. at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.  

Mr. Sanders was born Dec. 5, 1991, in Springfield, the son of Douglas Allan and Angela Kay (Orblish) Sanders.

He graduated from Litchfield High School in 2010 and Millikin University in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in creative writing.  He was employed by Jimmy John’s Sandwich Shop in Litchfield and was previously employed by Westside Cinema for several years.  

Mr. Sanders wrote a graphic novel titled “Skullkids,” poetry to read alone in the woods. He loved to write and listen to music and read books. He was a movie buff.  He was in the process of writing a novella.

He is survived by his parents of Litchfield; brother, Dayne Sanders of Litchfield; paternal grandparents, John and Karen (Fritzsche) Sanders of California; maternal grandparent, George Orblish of Litchfield; aunts, Patty (Steve) Banovz of Staunton, Barb (Jim) Bertoglio of Maryland, Bea Ferguson of Litchfield and Michelle (Earl) Cullum of San Diego, CA; uncle, Greg (Sandy) Sanders of Los Angeles, CA; and several cousins.

Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Betty Orblish.
