Elizabeth 'Betty' Titus, 97

Elizabeth "Betty" Titus, 97, of Kansas City, MO, died Sunday, June 21, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospice House.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, June 29, at Mount Moriah Cemetery. Funeral services will take place at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, at Village Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Titus was born on March 15, 1918, in Gary, IN. She married Ellsworth Titus, and he survives.

She was a lawyer and Ph.D. professor of history. She also played first violin for the Kansas City Philharmonic Orchestra.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Titus is survived by her sons, Dirk Vandever of Kansas City, MO, Bob Vandever of San Antonio, TX, and Rick Vandever of Kansas City, MO; stepchildren, Bud Titus, Marian Mills, Paul Titus, Dave Titus and Rich Titus; five grandchildren, Erin, Bart, Sam, Brooke and Max; one great-grandchild, Caroline; and sister-in-law, Mary Jane Vandever Hoff of Hillsboro. 

She was preceded in death by Les "Doc" Vandever.
