Hazel Tester, 98, of Nokomis died Monday, May 25, 2015, at 10:15 a.m. at Nokomis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Nokomis.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 29, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery in rural Nokomis.  Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor Jim Vargo officiating.

Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in rural Nokomis. Sutton Funeral Home in Nokomis is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Tester was born on Aug. 14, 1916, in Nokomis, the daughter of Leonard and Effie (Ward) Hard. She married John Tester in 1936 in Hillsboro, and he preceded her in death in 1988.

She was a retired homemaker.  

Mrs. Tester is survived by her sons, Larry (Norby) Tester and Paul (Pamela) Tester, both of Nokomis; daughter, Linda (Rick) Graden of Glenarm; grandchildren, Michael (Lisa) Tester, Erica (Terry) Schwoeppe, T.J. Graden (fianceé Shellie), Stacey (Jon) Smith, Brian (Patty) Tester, Gina (Dominic) Carnduff and Toni (Brad) Kaye; great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Remi Tester, Jacob and Avery Schwoeppe, Charlotte Smith, Cameron and Carson Tester, Aiden and Ava Carnduff and Landon and Emet Graden; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings.

Memorials may be made to the Mt. Zion Cemetery Fund.
