Hope D. Korunka, 60, of Benld died at her residence on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, at 9:20 p.m.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 11, at 2 p.m. at Community of Christ Church in Sawyerville. Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Korunka was born on May 2, 1956, in Staunton, the daughter of the late Ellsworth Daniel and Florence (Lynch) Parish. She married Stephen Korunka, and he preceded her in death.
She was a CNA and then worked at Jubelts in Mt. Olive. She was also a Cub Scout leader and a member of the Community of Christ Church in Sawyerville. She enjoyed the outdoors.
Mrs. Korunka is survived by her children, Jane Steward of Benld, Jessie Parish of Wilsonville, Rebecca Korunka of Benld and Seth Korunka of Benld; grandchildren, Travis Steward and Caleb Steward, both of Benld; and siblings, Ellsworth Daniel Parish, Jr. of Mt. Olive, Thurman Charles Parish of Sawyerville, Ernest Kenneth Parish of Staunton, Rickey John Parish of Witt and Faith Frederika Cummings of Painesville, OH.
