JoAnn Karrick, 76, of Carlinville died Monday evening, April 13, 2015, at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, April 17, at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Moore Cemetery in rural Carlinville.
Mrs. Karrick was born on July 21, 1938, in Gillespie, the daughter of the late James and Jennie (Scott) Farrant. She married Daniel Karrick on July 2, 1956, in Gillespie, and he survives in Carlinville after 62 years of marriage.
She graduated from Gillespie High School. She was a great homemaker and enjoyed her children and grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, collecting baby dolls and after her illness she enjoyed keeping up on the news on Facebook.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Karrick is survived by her daughters, Tammy Jo (Dave) Martintoni of Staunton, Tracy Lynn (Bill) Byars of Gillespie, Lori Ann Karrick of Hillsboro and Nonie Lynn Karrick of Carlinville; sons, Kevin Allen Karrick and Nathan Jeffrey Karrick, both of Gillespie, and Zeb Daniel Karrick of Carlinville; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Danny Lee and Joshua Denverd Karrick; and grandson, David Mario Martintoni, Jr.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Hospital.
