John R. Kimbro, 82

John R. Kimbro, 82, of Fillmore  died on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, at his residence.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, at the Grace Fellowship Church in Fillmore. Harry and Myron Kirk will officiate; burial will follow in Glendale Cemetery, Fillmore, where military rites will be accorded. Visitation at the church will begin at 9 a.m. the morning of the service. The Miller Funeral Home in Fillmore is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Kimbro was born on Oct. 7, 1932, in Hillsboro to Cicero J. and Esther Gertrude (Toberman) Kimbro. He married Marian Louise Worker on Jan. 3, 1953, in Hillsboro, and she survives.

Also surviving are four sons, Jim Kimbro of Dawson, Steve (Susan) Kimbro of Nokomis, Bryan (Lori) Kimbro of Fillmore, and Jeff (Shellie) Kimbro of Catlin; eight grandchildren, Jimmy, Tyler, Casey, Wade, Troy, Lucas, Josh, and Jenny; and three great-grandchildren, Gracie, Jimmy, and Landon.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Jodi Lynn Kimbro.

An Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, Kimbro was a television repairman and owner of Kimbro TV. He was affiliated with Liberty Church of Bingham.

Memorials should be directed to that church or the Montgomery County Cancer Association.
