John 'Stroker' Wilhelm, 46

John Lee “Stroker” Wilhelm, 46, of Park Hills, MO, formerly of Litchfield, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, at 6:41 p.m. in his home.  

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Nov. 20, at 2:30 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield with the  Rev. Mark Johnson, pastor of Walshville Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield.

Visitation will be held Sunday, Nov. 20, from 12 p.m. until service time. Following the committal service, a dinner will be held for the family and friends at the VFW Post #3912 in Litchfield.

Mr. Wilhelm was born on July 3, 1970, in Mt. Carmel, the son of Roger Lee and Myrna Gay (Banks) Wilhelm. He married Wendy Lynn Ryan on Sept. 30, 1990, in Litchfield, and she survives.  

He worked as a car hauler for Jack Cooper Transport in Wentzville, MO. He had won several safe driver awards throughout his 14 years driving for them and was a member of the Million Mile Club.  

Mr. Wilhelm was a member of Teamsters Local #604 in St. Louis.  He enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, motorcycle riding and spending time with his family.  

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Garrett Wilhelm (fiancee Kellie Hinckley) of Park Hills, MO; his father, Roger Wilhelm of Litchfield; two sisters, Rebecca (John) Wallace of Fishhook and Gayla Ashmiller of Litchfield; paternal grandmother,  Edna Wilhelm of Springfield; mother and father-in-law, John and Diane Jeffers of Butler; sisters-in-law, Donna (Mike) Thomason of Arkansas, Lisa Roller of Raymond and Patricia Catalano of Butler; brothers-in-law, Steve Jeffers of Litchfield and Ken Ryan of Burkburnett, TX; one niece, Sarah Wallace of Jerseyville; two nephews, Hayden Roach (companion Shayla Davis) of O’Fallon, MO, and Jake Wallace of Fishhook; and best friends, Kurt (Janice) Zenner of Litchfield, Chad (Lisa) Roach of Walshville, Katie Buzick, Ethan Roach and Ayden Buzick of Walshville, Rick and Diana Hazelwood of Litchfield and Meegan Dobrinich of Litchfield.

Mr. Wilhelm was preceded in death by his mother, Myrna Wilhelm; and paternal grandfather, Willis “Pete” Wilhelm.
