Juanita Eileen Kershaw, 91, of Hillsboro died at 6:17 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015, at Montgomery Nursing and Rehab Center in Taylor Springs.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 3, at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro with the Rev. Mike Skinner, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Hillsboro, and Mark Noyes of Hillsboro officiating.

Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Mrs. Kershaw was born in Charleston on Feb. 1, 1924, the daughter of the late Charles and Diccie Belle (Darling) Ashmore. She married Earl Leo Kershaw, Jr. on June 11, 1943, in Washington, DC, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 7, 2001.

She lived in Charleston and Hillsboro during her lifetime and was a Hillsboro High School graduate. She worked as a clerk for P.N. Hirsch in Hillsboro.

Mrs. Kershaw was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hillsboro. She loved spending time with her family and being a grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Linda (husband Gene) Govaia and Marvin (wife Sandra) Kershaw, both of Hillsboro, and Stephen (wife Debbie) Kershaw of Virden; ten grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Harry Ashmore of Tennessee.

Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Kershaw was preceded in death by her siblings, Irene Hall, Frank Ashmore, Dallas Ashmore and Norma Jones.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Hillsboro.
