Justin Edward Gunderson, 31, of Nokomis, formerly of Hillsboro, died Sunday, May 1, 2016.

A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, at Fourth of July Point on Old Lake Hillsboro.  Friends are encouraged to wear Pink Floyd shirts. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Gunderson was born on April 26, 1985, in Phoenix, AZ, the son of Jimmy “Jay” Gunderson and Sharon (Smiddy) Gunderson.

He worked at the Route 16 grain elevator in Rosamond. He loved his children and spending time with his family.

Mr. Gunderson is survived by his parents; grandmothers, Sharon Gunderson of Hillsboro and Barbara Snider of Fillmore; fiancée, Hillary Jane Saunders and two children, Bow Saunders and Gattlin Edward Gunderson, all of Nokomis; one sister, Melissa Hughes of Sorento; brothers, Jimmy Gunderson of Hillsboro, Larry Gunderson of Edwardsville and Jeremy Gunderson of Witt; and one stepbrother, Travis Osborn of Tennessee.
