Kenneth DeVries, 65, of Riverside, formerly of Hillsboro, died Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Loyola University Hospital in Chicago.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro. The Rev. Karl Wellnitz, pastor of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, will officate with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Mr. DeVries was born on Oct. 15, 1949, in Litchfield, the son of the late Raymond and Doris A. (Barham) DeVries.

He lived in Mt. Olive, Hillsboro and Springfield during his life.

Mr. DeVries is survived by two uncles, Mike (Eugina) Barham of Thayer and Jerry (Rita) Barham of Coal City.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Florence Barham.

Memorials may be made to the Illinois Valley Rehabilitation Center in Gillespie.
