Kenneth "KT" Summers, 70, of Greenville died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015, at his home.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, at Greenville First Christian Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 11 a.m. at the church.

Interment will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Young Funeral Home in Greenville is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Summers was born at home in Mulberry Grove on Oct. 15, 1944, the son of the late Clarence T. and Beulah M. Summers. He married Brenda Leidner on Sept. 14, 1968, at Greenville Central Christian Church, and she survives after 46 years of marriage.

He graduated from Mulberry Grove High School in 1963. He worked for Ed Bauer Fur Company and later joined ABF Freight until his retirement in 2011.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Summers is survived by four daughters, Cindy (Mike) Donaghy of Houston, TX, Lisa Qualls of Greenville, Christina (Kelly) White of Sorento and Abby (Adam) White of Greenville; 11 grandchildren, KC Fletcher, Kenneth Donaghy, Kammie McBride, Kolby Qualls, TJ Qualls, Taylor White, Kelsey White, Carley White, Kristopher White, Addison White and Alyssa White; four great-grandchildren, Owen Martin, Olivia Qualls, Eva McBride and Benn Fletcher; five brothers, Marlin Summers of Brownstown and Jimmy, Bobby, Brian and Tony Summers, all of Vandalia; and six sisters, Sandra Springer of Jena, LA, Kathy Wollin of Ramsey, Connie Hoover of Broken Arrow, OK., Patty Jackson of Vandalia, Lannie Stewart of Tolono and Dawn Goodin of Haslet, TX.  

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
