Korey P. Jordan 24, of Springfield, died Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

A funeral Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Springfield, with Father Jeff Grant officiating. Burial will be in Brush Creek Cemetery, Divernon.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Bramley Funeral Home in Divernon is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Jordan was born on Jan. 10, 1991 in Springfield, a son of Alexander and Tamara (Emerson) Jordan.

He was passionate about farming and even after the work was done, enjoyed spending his free time there.

Mr. Jordan and his older brother, Colby, shared a strong bond as brothers and best friends. They enjoyed spending time together and shared many special times that have become lifelong memories.

He enjoyed all sports, working out, riding his dirt bike, hunting, taking care of his car, and boating with his family.  His favorite times always involved his family.  

His family said his empathetic nature was a gift and his genuine concern and compassion for others left an imprint on family, friends and frequently, total strangers. His gentle soul and loving heart were his greatest strength.

Mr. Jordan is survived by his parents, Alex and Tami of Springfield; a brother, Colby, of Springfield; paternal grandparents, Alex and Mary Ann Jordan of Divernon; maternal grandparents, Richard and Nancy Emerson of Divernon; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorials may be made to St. Martin De Porres.
