Lamar Loucks, 83, of Hillsboro died at 9:40 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2016, at Vibra Hospital in Springfield.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 27, at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro with the Rosary recited at 3:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 28, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro with the Very Rev. James L. Neuman, V.F., pastor of the church, officiating.

Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Mr. Loucks was born in Hillsboro on Oct. 20, 1932, the son of the late Roy H. and Minnie May (Suits) Loucks. He married Helen Ohren in Litchfield on July 14, 1956, and she survives in Hillsboro.

He lived his entire life in Hillsboro and was a graduate of Hillsboro High School. A farmer, he was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, member and past leader of Montgomery County 4-H, Prime Timers and Lincoln Land Chorus and Barber Shop Quartet.

Mr. Loucks enjoyed boating and loved animals and watching his grandchildren participate in music and sports.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, David (wife Robin) Loucks, Karen (husband Paul) Donham, Paul (wife Tracy) Loucks and Diane (husband Steve "Chops") Jacob, all of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren, Kyle Loucks, Nathan (wife Allyson) Loucks, Megan (husband Josh) Reams, Taylor Donham, Adam Loucks, Joey Loucks, Noah Jacob and Kendra Jacob; two great-grandchildren, Charlotte Reams and Nolan Loucks; brothers, Clarence (wife Royanne) Loucks and Lloyd Douglas (wife Christine) Loucks, both of Hillsboro; and aunt, Dora Attebery of Hillsboro.

Memorials may be made to the Hillsboro High School Operetta or Montgomery County Paws Care.
