Lenora I. Striplin, 102, of Litchfield died at Heritage Health of Litchfield on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at 12:45 a.m.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Sunday, March 29, at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie. Memorial services will follow at noon at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Honey Bend.

Mrs. Striplin was born on April 24, 1912, in Edwards County, the daughter of the late Olcey and Sarah (Brooster) Pickett. She married Charles Franklin Striplin on April 24, 1941, and he preceded her in death in 1979. 

She was an assembler for Roller Derby in Litchfield.

Mrs. Striplin is survived by her seven children, Charles (Carol) Striplin of Springfield, Gerald (Connie) Striplin of Coffeyville, KS, Bonnie (Keith) Horn of Mt. Olive, Rhoda (Alfred) Vaniter of Gillespie, Linda Large of Litchfield, Richard (Nancy) Striplin of Madisonville, KY, and Kenneth (Julie) Striplin of Carlinville; 21 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Elizabeth Simpson.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sisters, Dorothy Simpson, Halene Hoy, Toma Collum and Ruby Crane.
