Leonard F. Woolard, Jr., 77, of Hillsboro, formerly of Murphysboro, died on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014, in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

Funeral services for Mr. Woolard are scheduled for today, Monday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m. at the Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro. The Rev. Robert Carter will officiate, and burial will be in Ware's Grove Cemetery, rural Butler. Visitation was held Sunday evening at Hough & Sons'.

Mr. Woolard was born on Dec. 30, 1936, in Murphysboro to Lenard F. and Alice Woolard. A graduate of a Catholic high school in Murphysboro, he was of the Catholic faith. He worked in various fruit orchards. He was a  Navy veteran.

He married Alice Phillips of Fenton, MO, and then JoElla Fisher of Cobden; both marriages ended in divorce.

He is survived by two sons, Steven (wife Kelly) Woolard of Fenton, MO, and Lloyd (wife Shelly) Woolard of Hillsboro; four daughters, Lois Pulliam of Hillsboro, Glenda (husband Kevin) Perkins of Taylor Springs, Teresa (husband Phillip) McIntosh of Peoria, and Joyce Kirk of Hillsboro; three stepsons, Paul Marsh of Jonesboro, Russell Marsh and Frank Seaman both of Florida; three stepdaughters, Amy Cavitt, Shelby Marsh, and Robin Latham, all of Tennessee; 22 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 18 stepgrandchildren; and 12 stepgreat-grandchildren; and one brother, Larry Woolard of Marion.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Leonard "Lee" Woolard Jr.; and one great-granddaughter, Allison Phipps.
