Lorene Marie Lovell, 92, of Litchfield died at 11:39 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2016, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday May 14, at Faith Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Pastor Kevin Cook will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield.
Visitation will be held from noon until the time of service at the church. Litchfield Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lovell was born on Aug.19, 1923, a daughter of the late Ben C. and Anna (Gerhardt) Johnson.
She married Joseph Lovell on May 10, 1957, at Concordia Lutheran Church in Cottage Hills, and he survives.
Mrs. Lovell enjoyed being a housewife and, in her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and growing vegetables, cooking, shopping and spending time in Florida with her family.
She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Litchfield.
Along with her husband, Mrs. Lovell is survived by three sons, David (Norma) Heeren of Cottage Hills, and Scott and Mark Lovell, both of Litchfield; three daughters, Stephanie Lovell (companion Kenny Mondhink) of Raymond, Diane (Walter) Frazier of Glen Carbon and Susan (William) Marshall of Brentwood, MO; many grandchildren; and a brother, Chris (Alice) Johnson of Nokomis.
She was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Heeren; a daughter, Denise Lovell; and 10 brothers and sisters.
The family suggests memorials be given to the Litchfield Food Pantry.
