Loretta Beyes, 80, of Vandalia, formerly of the Pittsburg area, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at Fayette County Hospital.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 2, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. at Young Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will be in Maxey Cemetery in Smithboro.

Mrs. Beyes was born on Nov. 23, 1935, in Keyesport, the daughter of Albert B. and Frances Katherine (Leidner) Johnson. She married Henry Vohlken in 1959, and they later divorced. She then married Fred Beyes in 1978, and they also later divorced.

She grew up in the Keyesport and Tamalco areas and moved to Pocahontas and then to Collinsville, where she graduated from high school. She lived in Collinsville until 1967 when she moved to the Pittsburg, IL, area. She moved to Vandalia about five years ago.

Mrs. Beyes worked most of her life for Brockway Plastics in Vandalia and was a member of The Mulberry Grove Red Hat Club.

She is survived by her sons, Ervine (wife Lisa) Vohlken of Fillmore, Kevin (wife Missy) Vohlken of Smithboro and William (wife Erika) Vohlken of Greenville; half brother, Frank (wife Debbie) Lucco  of Pocahontas;  five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
