Mae Holt McClanahan, 90, of Hillsboro died Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015, at the Hillsboro Rehab & Health Care Center in Hillsboro at 11 a.m.

Funeral services for Mrs. McClanahan will be held Tuesday, Aug. 18, at noon at the Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro.  Dr. Ronald Rhodus will officiate, with burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, rural Coffeen. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday.     

She was born on Oct. 29, 1924 in Dix to Ernest and Jenney (Nesbit) Breeze, and she lived in Dix, DuQuoin, Vergennes, Hutsonville, Coffeen and Hillsboro during her lifetime.  Her first marriage was to Raleigh Eugene Holt in Pinckneyville on April 20, 1945. After he preceded her in death, she married Rex McClanahan in the Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro on Nov. 10, 1984; he too preceded her death.

Her parents; one grandson, Roger Norton; three brothers, Vernon Breeze, Jim Breeze and Jerry Breeze; and three sisters, Hazel Costeno, Glenna Rae and Cassie Shelton, also preceded her.

She is survived by two sons, Rollie (wife Vicki) Holt of Robinson and Alan (wife Earness) Holt of Jacksonville; one daughter, Anita (husband Ronney) Norton of DuQuoin; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Della Horton; and one brother-in-law, Jerry (wife Pam) Holt.
