Nicholas Howard Rayphole, 26, of Litchfield, died at 12:54 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield.  The Rev. Jeff Benton of Litchfield will officiate. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. in the funeral home.  

Mr. Rayphole was born on June 15, 1987, in Springfield, a son of Charles Edward and Clara Jo (Reiher) Rayphole. He graduated from Litchfield High School with the class of 2006 and was employed as a set up man for Egyptian Expo in Marion.

A member of St. Timothy United Methodist Church in Litchfield, he was an avid wrestling fan and also enjoyed building Knex sets.

His family said he was an extraordinary uncle who loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Mr. Rayphole is survived by his parents; two brothers, Michael Irwin of Virden and Brian Irwin of Litchfield; two sisters, Amber (Brian) Burke of Jacksonville and Ashley Rayphole of Litchfield; paternal grandparents, James and Wanda Benton of Litchfield; maternal grandmother, Thelma Reiher of Litchfield; and eight nieces and nephews.
