Omar W. Masters, 77, of Taylorville, died at 4:10 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylorville with Pastor Rodney Blomquist officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 2, from 4 until 7 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville.
Mr. Masters was born on July 2, 1937, in Taylorville, a son of the late Vernie and Wilma (Boyd) Masters. He married Gloria Keiser on July 2, 1966, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Nokomis, and she survives.
He was a retired truck driver and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylorville.
Along with his wife, Mr. Masters is survived by three sons, Shawn (Trisha) Masters of Alaska, Rodney Masters of Cordova, TN, and Bari (Jackie) Masters of Des Moines, IA; five grandchildren, Katelynn Masters, Lanie Choy, Nolan Masters, Jimmy Masters, Jessica Masters; one great-grandchild, Emalina Choy; two sisters: Virginia Eller of Nokomis and Priscilla McDowell of Fillmore; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Loren Masters, Vernon Masters and John Masters.
