Paula Kay Birkenkamp, 69, of Litchfield died on Sunday, June 21, 2015, at 1:19 p.m. at her home.

A celebration of life service will take place at a later date. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Birkenkamp was born on July 24, 1945, in Litchfield, a daughter of the late Harry and Helen (Wolfe) Kean. She married Terry Ray Birkenkamp on Sept. 5, 1964, in Litchfield, and he survives.

A homemaker and a caregiver, Mrs. Birkenkamp was a member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield and the American Legion Post #32 Ladies Auxiliary in Springfield.

In her leisure time, she enjoyed shopping and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Ronald Kean.

She is survived by her husband, two sons, Anthony (companion Malissa) Birkenkamp of Litchfield and Jeffery (Caren) Birkenkamp of Ballwin, MO; a daughter, Renee (Scott) Chandler of Litchfield; one brother, Chris (companion Tammy) Kean of Litchfield; one sister, Patricia (Leonard) Taylor of Litchfield; seven grandchildren, Kyle Jarman, Travis Birkenkamp, Toi Birkenkamp, Matt (Alora) Chandler, C.J. Chandler, Josiah Chandler and Jack Birkenkamp; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials to Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield.
