Rita E. Claybrook, 65, of Hillsboro died Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at Vista Del Sol Health Services in California.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 9, at 2 p.m. at St. James Baptist Church in Hillsboro with the Rev. James Hayes officiating. Visitation will start at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
Burial will be in Bluff Cemetery. Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Claybrook was born on Dec. 29, 1950, in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late Frank and Sarah Claybrook.
She grew up in Hillsboro and attended local schools, graduating from Hillsboro High School in 1969.
Ms. Claybrook is survived by one son, Brian Claybrook; sisters, Billie (Herman) Greene, Mary Lee, Beatrice McCrary, Shelia (Jackie) Macon, Paulette Stark and Teresa Claybrook; two brothers, Michael (Michelle) Claybrook and Terry Claybrook; and six grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Larry and Frank Claybrook; and sister, Patricia Claybrook.
