Rita J. Tun, 77, of Staunton died Sunday, June 15, 2014, at her daughter’s residence near Edwardsville.
Her remains were cremated, and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Tun was born on Oct. 21, 1936, in Wood River, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy John Schulte. She married Charles “Chuck” Tun on Aug. 21, 1954, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 10, 2010.
She worked as a beautician for many years in Staunton. She was also a member of the Staunton Country Club and bowled at Concordia Hall in Staunton for many years.
Mrs. Tun is survived by a daughter, Theresa (Alex) Radae of Edwardsville; two grandchildren, Megan and Sara Radae of Edwardsville; two sisters, Carolyn Schulte and Joyce Love, both of Staunton; brother-in-law, Ken Karnosky of Staunton; sister-in-law, Norma Schulte of Morrisonville; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Virgil and Leroy Schulte; and three sisters, Virginia Bilyeu, Shirley Ashley and Rose Karnosky.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
