Ronald Lee Fleming, 66, of Staunton, died on Sunday, Nov. 8, at his home with his family by his side.

Masonic Rites will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Shriners Club in Staunton. Family will receive friends immediately following at 1:30 p.m.

The family is being assisted by Hough Funeral Homes in Raymond.

Mr. Fleming was born on Feb. 10, 1949, in Staunton, the son of the late Roy and Rosemarie (Dudley) Fleming. He married Ginny Shadle, in Tacoma, WA, on Aug. 28, 1970, and she survives.

Mr. Fleming was a veteran of the U.S. Army who served during Vietnam.

He was employed by Laclede Steel in Alton, retiring after 32 years. He later returned to work at Walmart in Litchfield in the TLE department, retiring in August 2015 after 15 years with the company.

He was a member of the New Douglas Masonic Lodge where he obtained the degree of Master Mason, and he was an avid duck hunter who loved to spend his free time with his grandchildren.

Along with his wife, Mr. Fleming is survived by two sons, Jeffrey (Cari) Fleming and Jarad Fleming, both of Staunton; three grandchildren, Emilie Fleming, Sean Fleming and Marley Fleming; three brothers Roy "Pudge" (Diane) Fleming of Livingston, Jack (Gayle) Fleming of Walshville and David Fleming of Litchfield; two sisters, Charlotte (Jim) Tiepelman of Dover, TN, and Lynda Whitson of Livingston; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Earl Shadle, and a brother, Jimmy "Sarge" Fleming.

In lieu of flowers; memorials are suggested to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
