Rosalie Lucille Convery, 94, of Raymond, died, on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016, at Hillsboro Rehabilitation  & Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 15, at St. Raymond Catholic Church in Raymond with burial at St. Raymond Catholic Cemetery in Raymond.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 1 until 4 p.m. at the church. Hough Funeral Home in Raymond is handling the arrangements.

Mrs. Convery was born on Jan. 28, 1922, in Raymond, the daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Munsterman) Weitekamp. She was a graduate of Waggoner High School.

She married John "Jack" Convery in Raymond on Feb. 7, 1942, and they celebrated 72 years of marriage before he preceded her in death.

The couple resided at Tremont Ridge in Hillsboro for three years before her move to the nursing home.

Mrs. Convery was a housewife, a member of St. Raymond Catholic Church and a charter member of the Shoal Creek Golf Course. She was a volunteer for many area groups including the Montgomery County Cancer Association, Meals on Wheels, taught reading through the county literacy program, Altar and Rosary Society and was an accomplished seamstress.

Her hobbies included golfing, fishing, art/painting and was a loving grandmother and greatgrandmother.  

Mrs. Convery is survived by two sons, Ron (Sue) Convery of Carlinville and Mark (Kathy) Convery of Ponte Vedra, FL; three daughters, Patricia (Joe) Pope of Raymond, Mary Ellen Gentry of Jacksonville, FL, and Angie (David) Gray of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; 22 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Maurie Weitekamp of Alabama.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Spence, four sisters and three brothers.
