Funeral services for Russella Mae Neville, 70, of Witt are scheduled for Tuesday, July 22, at 11 a.m. in the Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro. The Rev. Gary Stanford will officiate, and burial will be in Witt Cemetery. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Bass Patton Dean's.
Mrs. Neville died Friday, July 18, 2014, at 6:45 p.m. in Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
She was born June 30, 1944, in Springfield to Russell and Victoria (Boyce) McCafferty, and she worked as a waitress, cook, CNA, and homemaker while living in Witt and Taylorville.
She and Junior Neville were married in Taylorville on April 14, 1962, and he survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Crystal (husband Darrell) Turcol of Hillsboro, Brenda (husband Jeromy) Neathery of Witt, and Junetta Ledbetter of Witt; one son, Michael (wife Theresa) Neville of Collinsville; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six siblings, Linda, Vicky, Cheryl, Sammy, Jimmy, and Sandy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Bonnie Pitts; one brother, William; and three sisters, Eva, Shirley, and Helen.
