Sandra L. Vogel, 74, of Carlinville died Thursday morning, Feb. 26, 2015, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Vogel was born in Aledo on May 15, 1940, the daughter of the late Earl and Helen (Zook) Peterson. She married Gary E. Vogel in Hillsboro on June 28, 1969, and he survives in Carlinville.
She graduated from Hillsboro High School with the class of 1958 and was a homemaker for most of her life. She loved to travel with her husband and they were able to take several trips on cruise lines, as well as travel abroad. She also enjoyed reading, watching movies and fishing.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Vogel is survived by one son, Todd E. Vogel of Phoenix, AZ; and a brother, Earl (Patty) Peterson of Hemet, CA.
