Sharon Louise (Weitekamp) Mueller, 70, of Belleville died Monday, March 30, 2015, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 2, at George Renner and Sons Funeral Home in Belleville. A Liturgy of the Word funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 3, at the funeral home with Fr. Anthony Onyango officiating.

Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Lebanon.

Mrs. Mueller was born on Feb. 19, 1945, in Litchfield, the daughter of Harold and Verna (Matli) Weitekamp, formerly of Raymond. She married Lawrence E. "Larry" Mueller on Nov. 26, 1966, and he survives after 48 years of marriage.

She retired as a radiology transcriptionist from St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville, where she had worked for 28 years. She had also been a welfare officer for the Catholic War Veterans.

Mrs. Mueller was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church in Belleville. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan who enjoyed embroidering and loved laughing with her grandsons, Cody and Cameron.     

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Michelle (Mark) Callahan of Clio, CA, and Amy Mueller-Howard D.V.M. (Steve Howard) of Fairview Heights; two grandsons, Cody J. Callahan and Cameron K. Howard; sister, Doris (Leland) Schmitz of Rosamond; two brothers, James Weitekamp of Harvel and Larry (Nancy) Weitekamp of Raymond; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; and her dear, close friend, Sharon Reiher.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Mueller was preceded in death by  her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Edward and Amelia Mueller; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marilyn and Joseph Koslofski, Pat Weitekamp and Dr. William Rankin.                              

Memorials may be made in the form of memorial Masses.
