Shelby Zinn, 78, of Nokomis, died at 5:37 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014, at Nokomis Rehab and Health Care.

Mrs. Zinn was born on Dec. 7, 1935, in York, PA, a daughter of Robert Sheldon and Helen Sylvia (Barnhart) Eisenberger.
In her younger years, she did factory work at Donsco in Hellam, PA, and various small jobs afterwards. She was most known for being a hardworking mother, taking care of her five children. She loved to cook, providing home-cooked meals from scratch to feed her family. She was also outgoing and loved to sing all kinds of music, liked to dress up, and was known for all her hats.
She is survived by her children, Scott Zinn of Pennsylvania, Melody Reichenbach of Pennsylvania, Kelly Douzart of Louisiana, Christy Zinn of Pennsylvania, Shelly (Steve) Diffenderfer of Nokomis, and Deborah Nelson; grandchildren Eric and Rachel Diffenderfer, Matthew David Douzart, Katie and Heidi Zinn, and a brother, Robert Sheldon Eisenberger of Pennsylvania.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Robin Zinn.
