Thomas Wesley Nail, 56, of Taylorville died Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, at 6:46 a.m. at his residence in Taylorville. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 13, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Chad Foster officiating. 

Burial will be in Morrisonville Cemetery in Morrisonville. 

Mr. Nail was born on Sept. 5, 1960, in Litchfield, the son of the late Leonard and Freida (Young) Nail. He married Myra Stephens on Oct. 6, 1989, in Taylorville, and she survives in Taylorville.

He worked as a laborer and loved to camp and go fishing.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Nail is survived by his stepsons, Kurt (Stephanie) Longden of Taylorville and Michael (Dasha) Stephens of Stonington; stepdaughter, Sabrina Golitko (companion Kevin Bollinger) of Pekin; grandchildren, Kira Stephens, Lena Stephens, Mia Stephens, Riley Longden, Antjuan Stephens and Thomas Lowis; sisters, Michelle Mantooth of St. Louis and Anna Pearson of Springfield; brothers, Wayne Nail of Litchfield and Michael Nemesh of Lake City, FL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Nemesh.
