Vivian Kay (Herman) Spencer, 71, of Lebanon, OR, died Sunday, April 12, at her home in Lebanon.

A celebration of her life was held Saturday, April 18, at Waterloo Park in Oregon. Private interment was in Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR.

Huston-Jost Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Spencer was born in Lebanon, OR, the daughter of Ben and Naomi (Woods) Herman. She married Donald Spencer in Reno, NV, on May 1, 1983, and he survives in Lebanon, OR.

In the mid-1940s, she moved to Hillsboro, where she attended grade school and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1961. She moved back to Lebanon, OR, in 1982, where she has resided since.

Mrs. Spencer worked as an office manager for Jimco Electric in Lebanon, OR, for 30 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lebanon, OR. She enjoyed beading, jewelry making and arts.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Naomi Herman of Coffeen; sons, Robert Benjamin Saathoff of Hawthorn, CA, Ronald Lynn Saathoff of Hillsboro and Timothy Edward Saathoff of Albany, OR; daughter, Rhonda Marie Vesper of Waterloo, OR; brothers, Kenneth Wayne Herman of Lebanon, OR, and James Embree Herman of Coffeen; sisters, Marian Jean Herman Devaisher of Pawnee and Theresa Ellen Bradley of Greenville; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Spencer was preceded in death by her father.
