Wayne Brian Brown, 50, of Coffeen, died on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, in his home.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 12, beginning at 7 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro. Cremation rites were accorded.
Toberman-Dean Funeral Home in Coffeen is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Brown was born on May 26, 1966, in Philadelphia, PA, to Earl and Anna Marie Sue (Jackson) Brown.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Brown came to Illinois in the late 1980s and has been in the Hillsboro and Coffeen areas since 2011.
He is survived by his father of North Carolina; his fiancee, Carol Brown of Coffeen; his children, Ryan Brown of Effingham, Krystal Brown of Brownstown and Mercedes Brown of Brownstown; a stepson, Robert Spicer of Edwardsville; four grandchildren; two sisters; four brothers; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his mother in 2006 and a brother and sister (twins) at birth.
