Dalbert James Janssen, 56, of Hillsboro, formerly of Raymond and Harvel, died on Friday, April 19, 2019, at his home.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 24, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hough Funeral Home in Raymond. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date in Asbury Cemetery in Raymond.

Mr. Janssen was born Aug. 8, 1962, in Pana, to the late Paul and Gwen (Beatty) Janssen. He married Ginger Hartman on March 21, 1986, and they later divorced.

During his career, he drove a truck for a number of local trucking companies, and owned and operated DMC Trucking before he retired.

Mr. Janssen was a strong supportor of the second ammendment and the NRA, and enjoyed shooting and reloading ammo. He was also supported St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the organ donor program, Gift of Hope. He loved his children, grandchildren and animals, especially Razz and Paisley.

He is survived by two sons, Chris Janssen of Raymond and Matthew (Rhonda Rowden) Janssen of Springfield; two grandsons, Kyndall and Koltyn Janssen, both of Raymond; sisters, Debbie (Robert) Armes of Nokomis and Donna (Norman) Hemken of Hillsboro; brothers, Don (Angie) Janssen of Carlinville and Danny (Carla Smith) Janssen of Beecher City; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Janssen was preceded in death by a daughter, Dana Marie Janssen on Nov. 8, 2014.
