Dorothy Belle (Friend) Buck, 99, of Litchfield, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019, at 5:12 p.m. at Heritage Health Therapy and  Senior Care in Litchfield.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield.

Mrs. Buck was born Aug. 29, 1920, in Litchfield, a daughter of Bert and Ida (Weber) Draper. She married Raymond Walter Friend on Oct. 10, 1936, in Hillsboro, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 1979. She later married Leo Nelson Buck on June 13, 1987, in Phoenix, AZ, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 18, 2002.

She and her husband, Raymond, owned Friend's Grocery on Old Rt. 66 in Litchfield where Jubelt's currently sits. She also worked for the State of Illinois–Secretary of State Office for over 20 years.

After moving to Arizona, she worked for the State of Arizona–Food Stamp Division until her retirement. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Litchfield. She was known to be a good cook and an immaculate housekeeper. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling and playing the nickel slots.

She is survived by two sons, Raymond "Ronald" (Brenda) Friend and Terry Friend, both of Mabelvale, AR; 11 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and two husbands, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Beulah Holden and Lucille Poplar.
