George Allen Westhoff, 95, of Tempe, AZ, died on Monday, Dec. 10, 2018.
A memorial service for family and friends will be scheduled at a later date.
Mr. Westhoff was born Feb. 22, 1924, in Litchfield, to Dietrick and Francis Westhoff. He married Waleita Ione Pruitt on Feb. 23, 1949, and she preceded him in death.
After graduating from Litchfield High School, he served in WWII as a proud member of the United States Air Force, and returned to Litchfield as a wounded warrior.
Mr. Westhoff and his brother Harold owned Westhoff Heating and Air Conditioning for 42 years in their hometown of Litchfield.
He is survived by his daughter, Maggie Westhoff of Tempe, AZ; son, Andy (wife Bonnie) Westhoff of Asheboro, NC; grandson, Russell (wife Kelly) Westhoff of Asheboro, NC; two great-granddaughters, Karter Paige and Piper Madison; and sister, Jean Schultz of Troy.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Westhoff was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lester and Harold Westhoff; and sisters, Helen Gartner, Alice Schwab, Elda Weller and recently deceased Lou Uthoff.
