The COVID-19 pandemic pushed the second annual Camren’s On The Green Memorial Golf Tournament back a few months, but did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm of honoring the memory of the young Nokomis grad.
More than 40 teams came out for the tournament on Friday, July 3, at Oak Terrace Resort in Pana. The teams were in large part made up of Camren Neisler’s family, friends and former coaches, who were there to honor the young man who passed away in a car accident in October 2018.
“We don’t know an amount made yet, but I know it was very successful,” said Neisler’s mother, Brandy Chausse.
Last year’s event raised $28,448.25, which was used for community projects, including scholarships in Camren’s name and a nine-hole mini-golf course at Shane Cole Park in Nokomis.
