Adolf A. "Fudd" Hebenstreit, Jr., 91, of Staunton, died at 8:20 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at Community Memorial Hospital in Staunton.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 3, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Staunton. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the church with Rev. George Radosevich officiating. Interment will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton. Williamson Funeral Home of Staunton is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hebenstreit was born on May 24, 1928, in Staunton, to Adolf A. Hebenstreit, Sr. and Alma (Stein) Hebenstreit. He married Shirley A. Slifka on June 11, 1955, in Livingston.

Mr. Hebenstreit was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Rankin Technical School and was employed as a machine designer/draftsman at Cerro Copper Products in St. Louis, MO., for most of his career, before retiring in 1994.

Throughout his life, Mr. Hebenstreit was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church of Staunton, Staunton Knights of Columbus #2197, Staunton VFW Post #1241, Concordia Hall of Staunton and Staunton Country Club. 

Mr. Hebenstreit is survived by his wife; children, Kelda (David) DeBarr of Litchfield, David (Debbie) Hebenstreit of St. Louis, MO.: grandchildren, Derek (Megan) DeBarr, Anne (Preston) Hisle, Tyler Hebenstreit and Trevor Hebenstreit; and great-grandchildren, Ethan Hisle and Liam Hisle.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Ruth Kepler and Noreen Hebenstreit.
