Aileen Janet Hucker, 105, of Hillsboro, died on Saturday, July 18, 2020, at 8:20 p.m. at Tremont Ridge Assisted Living in Hillsboro.
Private funeral services will be held. Burial will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family.
Mrs. Hucker was born June 8, 1915, in Hillsboro, to Walter and Adah (Gilmore) Qualls. She married Homer Hucker on Dec. 8, 1940, and he preceded her in death in 1980.
She graduated from Hillsboro High School with the class of 1933 and worked in medical billing for the State of Illinois.
Mrs. Hucker was a past member of the Business and Professional Women’s Organization and the Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro. During her lifetime, she resided in Hillsboro, Florissant, MO, for 27 years, then moved back to Hillsboro.
She is survived by her children, Nancy Glassmeyer of Hillsboro, Daniel Hucker of Sebring, FL, and Emily (husband Bernard) Steinbruegge of Florissant, MO; five grandchildren, Anne Foster, Amy McNeal, Julie White, Alice Cattoor and Jane McClurg; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hucker was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Jill Stafford; two brothers; and two sisters.
